Golf in the Tweed Valley
The Tweed Valley offers a variety of challenging golf courses in some of the most stunning scenery in the country.
With the spectacular views from the hills of Peebles and Selkirk to beautiful parkland West Linton, and the riverside challenges of both Cardrona, where the European Challenge tour played in 2007 and 2008, and 9 hole Innerleithen where Leithen water and several small burns provide a watery challenge on most holes. (70) All courses hire trollies, with the 3 18 hole courses also hiring Buggies.
VisitScotland Scottish Borders offer great value golf passes called 'Freedom of the Fairways Passports' which cover 3 Day (up to 6 rounds) and 5 Day (up to 10 rounds) There are 21 courses (18 & 9 hole) to choose from in the whole border area. The only restriction is 1 round/day weekends.
Several Hotels and Guest houses offer special accommodation deals in conjunction with these passes making for a great value Golfing break in the Tweed Valley.
