Tweeddale Museum and Gallery 2008
The Chambers Institution was established by William Chambers, one of the founders of the famous publishing house in 1859. The museum and gallery present a lively programme of exhibitions in this historic building throughout the year.
The Chamber's Room houses the extraordinary friezes commissioned by William Chambers and also a permanent exhibition on the history of Peebles and the surrounding area.

Read All About It!
The story of News in Scotland
This exhibition takes a fascinating journey through the story of the printed news in Scotland. Find out what the first ever national papers in Scotland looked like in the 17th century and discover what was happening in Tweeddale in times gone by.
Read All About It! is a touring exhibition from the National Library of Scotland and is supported by objects from the museum collection in Peebles.

A Way with Words
A captivating exhibition of work by artists who have made a creative link between the written word and their work. It features calligraphy, jewellery, stoneware, manuscript books, printed work, handmade paper and an alphabet book.
A touring show from Walford Mill Craft Centre.

Stories in Stone
Castles, bridges, steeples and stairs - all have their stories to tell. Learn the tale of the Maid of Neidpath, how the Tontine Hotel got its name and the story of the changing face of Peebles High Street in this exhibition through plans, photographs, objects and memories.

As the Rivers Run
Artists Alison King and Rosemary Campbell explore how rivers flow through the fabric of life - an inspiring exhibition of textiles, mixed media and drawings.

Relative Creativity - a Family on the Make
This exhibition presents a surprisingly eclectic collection of high quality craft and design from two generations of one Tweeddale family. The Norris family exhibit their skills as makers of musical instruments and furniture, in woodturning, stained glass and decorative art.

Housed in an historic spa, the exhibitions tell the story of Innerleithen and St Ronan's Wells, describing their connections with the great Scottish writers, Sir Walter Scott and James Hogg. The origins of the unique Cleikium ceremonies held in July each year are also explained in the exhibition.
In 2007 the gardens surrounding the spa featured in the Beechgrove Garden programme on BBC television and throughout 2008 the gardens will continue to be developed and enhanced with new plantings and an exhibition of sculpture.

Graham has recorded the changing face of Innerleithen in this exhibition which includes the final days of the famous landmark, the Clough Mill chimney, finally demolished in 2007.
Beechgrove Honey Fest!
