Insight Tour: Travels & Libraries: The Grand Tour at Bowhill

For those who attended the lecture on 11^th June this will be an interesting addition, but the content will also stand alone very well in it own right.  The main emphasis today will be on looking at some of the journals in Bowhill House not on general display to the casual visitor.  There will be an opportunity to examine some of the private folios at Bowhill which reflect the interest in the Grand Tour taken by British aristocrats.  You will be able to find out how the Grand Tour found a permanent place in the history and collective memory through looking at illustrated books and other unusual artefacts.

Cost: £25 includes cup of tea on arrival, talk and tour and afternoon tea.
